Know Your Cargo

WHEN STANDARD FREIGHT STOPS, WE START.

OOG

OUT OF GAUGE

Cargo that exceeds standard container dimensions, moved on flat racks, open tops, breakbulk or Ro-Ro.

Heavy Lift

HEAVY LIFT

Single pieces too heavy for standard handling, needing specialist cranes, vessels or jacking and skidding.

Abnormal Load

ABNORMAL LOAD

Road loads over standard limits (in the UK, typically above 44 t gross, 2.9 m wide or 18.65 m long), requiring notification, permits and often escorts.

FAQ

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.

What information do you need for a quote?+

Dimensions (L × W × H), weight, number of pieces, lifting points if known, collection and delivery addresses and your target dates.

Can OOG cargo go in a container?+

Often, yes. Flat racks and open-top containers carry many oversized pieces on scheduled services, which is usually more economical than breakbulk.

Who arranges permits and escorts?+

We do. Notifications, special-order permits, police or private escorts and any road furniture removal are part of our plan.

Is my cargo insured in transit?+

Liability follows our Standard Trading Conditions. We strongly recommend, and can arrange, full cargo insurance for high-value equipment.

Oversized Cargo?

SEND US THE DIMENSIONS.

Length, width, height and weight are all we need to start. We'll come back with a mode, route and price — usually within the hour.
